UV Detectors
SVT Associates offers a line of robust, solid state detectors for UV monitoring applications below 360 nm. These include:
- flame sensing and combustion control
- biological fluorescence detection
- erythemal response matching
- pollution monitoring
The Schottky detectors are grown using molecular beam epitaxy from the wide bandgap III-Nitride materials system with sharp cutoffs and excellent out of band rejection. Our standard package is a TO-46 header with cap. Other types of packaging are available including ones with built-in amplification.
The detector bandedge can be "tuned" from 250 nm to 360 nm by varying the Al content. The detectors can be classified into three categories depending upon whether their bandedge falls in the UV-A (320 - 400 nm), UV-B (280 - 320 nm) or UV-C (250 - 280 nm) bands.
